Census Comment Deadline is August 7th!

The deadline to submit your comment regarding the inclusion of a citizenship question on the U.S. Census is quickly approaching. I’m reaching out to you today because you have signed our petition or taken action with us regarding the Census before. We still need your help to remove this question from the U.S. Census.
A fair and accurate Census is essential for all basic functions of our society.
Including a citizenship question on the 2020 Census will cause participation to plummet and threaten the accuracy of the Census. An undercount of persons in any given area could result in inadequate disaster responders, insufficient resources for transportation and education, and will impact the overall health and safety of communities.
A citizenship question on the Census will jeopardize the accuracy of the Census in all communities – an outcome that the nation will have to live with for the next 10 years. Including a citizenship question on the Census will undermine the participation of eligible persons and threaten the overall Census process that is vital to our democracy. A full, fair and accurate census is critical for our communities.
Please submit your comment by 11:59 PM Eastern on Tuesday, April 7th. The health of our communities and our democracy depends on it!
Yours in the Fight,
