Tell your State Legislators no government shut down, no property-tax only revenue solution

In order to avoid a government shut down on July 1st, the governor must sign a new budget on June 30th which leaves little time for preparing and voting on the bill in both chambers. A shutdown could have devastating impact on state services, even our credit rating. As an example, Washingtonians could face a Fourth of July without access to state parks. State employees being temporarily furloughed would have a get impact on our economy.

Below is a draft email that you can send your legislators. We highly encourage you to customize the draft by including the names of your three legislators and some information about how our unfair revenue system, lack of adequate funding for education and a potential government shutdown impacts you.
