Friend,
Today is Election Security Day and we need your help protecting our democracy. Securing our elections should not be a partisan issue--we must invest in our elections and prevent meddling from the same foreign actors who targeted our elections in 2016.
Earlier this year, the U.S. House passed important legislation focusing on election security and now it is the Senate’s turn to show their constituents that they value their votes and want a fair and protected election in 2020. The Senate has legislation in front of them that will provide $600 million in funding to states that protects voter data, requires paper auditable voting machines, and ensures our government agencies and election officials are able to do their jobs.
The U.S. Senate must pass legislation that protects the votes of all Americans. Passing this legislation is an opportunity to improve voter confidence and participation. If voters have faith in our electoral processes and that their votes have been counted, they will turn out to have their voices heard.
