Glad You Asked! If you have a question for this area, please submit it to kmcfarland@lwv.org. What can Leagues do when candidates are unwilling to participate in voter education opportunities? We continue to hear from Leagues around the country about candidates who are unwilling to participate in candidate forums and debates and who sometimes question the League's nonpartisanship. These events, along with our voters’ guides, are important tools in helping voters learn about the candidates on their ballot. LWVUS has prepared this guidance and messaging to help shape the public narrative and news coverage of these situations. Questions on candidate debates and forums should be addressed to Connie Ferguson at cfergusonlwv@yahoo.com. For additional information, see our debates and forums FAQ and our voters’ guides best practices. If you have any additional questions, please contact membership@lwv.org |
