LWVUS Climate Change Task Force
The LWVUS Climate Change Task Force was created by the LWVUS Board in 2006 to provide information and assistance to the national board and staff on issues pertaining to climate change and to develop materials for use by League members at the local, state, and national levels. A major project of the task force was the development of this Toolkit for Climate Action.
In 2020, the task force merged with a "working group" of League climate activists who organized to promote urgent attention to climate change at the 2020 LWVUS Convention. Together, they formed the LWVUS Climate Interest Group, a nationwide collaboration of League member who share information and strategies and develop expertise on climate topics of mutual interest.
