Action Alert: Support Reducing Carbon Pollution Measures

Please support SB 6203 and SB 6096.  The League of Women Voters believes that global warming is a serious issue that requires immediate action.  Climate change caused by carbon pollution poses a profound and growing risk to our state's economy and quality of life.  The League supports legislation that reduces carbon emissions and those that raise revenue to adequately fund services and functions critical to the well being of the people of our state.  Both these bills achieve these important goals.

Both bills will be heard in the Energy, Environment, and Technology Committee meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 16 at 10:00 am. Please click through to see if you have a Senator on this committee (districts 1, 8, 12, 35, 36, 38, 40, 41, 42, 44) and urge them to support these bills. If you do not have a Senator on this committee the website will return a note which says "No targets."
