Protecting Our Right to Vote

The U.S. Supreme Court is considering the constitutionality of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965, an essential part of American democracy. It ensures that every American citizen, regardless of race, has an equal right to vote. If the Justices overturn the Voting Rights Act, it would be the single biggest setback for voting rights in history.

Make the Pledge

I am joining with the League of Women Voters to honor, defend and protect our constitutional right to vote.

I believe that our elections should be free, fair and accessible to all eligible citizens.

I will fight all forms of voter suppression, protect voting rights for all and defend the Voting Rights Act.

I will vote in each and every election and encourage my fellow Americans to do the same. Voting is the one time when we are all equal. Voting allows us to take control of our community and America's future by having an impact on the critical issues and policies debated by our policymakers.
