The Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965 is an essential part of American democracy. It ensures that every American citizen, regardless of race, has an equal right to vote.

I believe that our elections should be free, fair and accessible to all eligible citizens.

I will fight all forms of voter suppression, protect voting rights for all and defend the Voting Rights Act.

I will vote in each and every election and encourage my fellow Americans to do the same. Voting is the one time when we are all equal. Voting allows us to take control of our community and America's future by having an impact on the critical issues and policies debated by our policymakers.
